Soulful melodies & captivating performances!

Tamika Tyan has been making music longer than most people have known what they wanted to do with their lives. She started in the way a lot of great voices start — early, instinctively, and without a plan beyond the fact that the music wouldn’t leave her alone. She was writing songs at fourteen. Producing her own at eighteen. By the time most artists are still figuring out what they sound like, Tamika had already built a working vocabulary.
What followed was two decades of showing up. Session rooms and stages with CeCe Winans, BeBe Winans, Jelly Roll, Brooks & Dunn, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band and more. A crowd of 25,000 at Churchill Downs. An opening slot for R&B legend Howard Hewitt of Shalamar. The inaugural Kentuckiana Idol title. A music production degree from LA Film School, because understanding how music feels was never going to be enough — she needed to understand how it’s built.
None of it happened in a straight line. That’s not how twenty years actually works. But there’s a through-line in all of it, even when it wasn’t visible: a voice that finds the emotional center of whatever room it walks into and holds it there. Genre never really mattered. The conviction always did.
“On Fire,” her debut single releasing June 23, 2026, is where all of it lands. It’s Pop music with deep roots and a wide reach — the sound of an artist who has finally stepped fully into her own name.
